Crack the egg & a small helping hand

This is the best way to crack an egg and the best magic number to make sure they are always hard-boiled just right?  10 minutes at high heat, that's it and then remove from heat and water that's boiling.  The shell is sure to be easily taken off.
SO then crack the eggs at the top and bottom on a hard surface and peel those just to reveal the tips.
Peel just one strip of the shell on the side and slip out the egg...perfect!

They come out completely clean and the egg was ready to eat...just like my boy likes them too!  We usually sprinkle on some salt to taste and eat quite a bit or put them in sandwiches sliced up...yummy!!

Then it was time to bake a cake to take to our Saturday practice for YOung Women and my boy helped each step of the way...luckily, he's scared of the oven so he won't go near it as I cook :-)

I LOVE when he helps me out because he never backs down and though he might be too small to really help, it's the intention that counts, and I will NOT take that charity away from his little heart.

So we take out our beaters, "clean them up" and pour in our batter.  Yeah, he eats it too....but so does mommy!

Now we enjoy the leftovers and wait for the timer's bell to let us know when it's done.

I bought all the ingredients at sale price too!
This is one we made earlier and it was DELICIOUS!
